“und wir mittenrin. wir sind hier. wir sind bei uns” is an art project in public space by Olena Newkryta exhibited on three billboards at different locations in Vienna.

WE calls for (re)construction. Considering the semantic, but also political complexity and ambiguity of the pronoun WE, the text work was constructed from slogans that are mostly found on construction sites. The collected words and phrases function as kind of modules that are shifted, misplaced, repeated – and thus try to capture the body of a WE that builds spaces, creates value, shapes futures.
