RE:SONANZ focuses on listening as a method. Four people gather in a room and listen to each other. They become closer. The situation becomes uncomfortable. Between understanding and misunderstanding, chaos and order, slowness and inadequacies become tangible. Power structures become visible and gaps open up. In a shared process, the artists experience emotional challenges that shake their truths and demand re-orientation–a breeding ground for new interpersonal narratives.Confronted with the difficulty of bringing the ephemeral character of the gesture of listening and the working process into a comprehensible form, this process report emerged: a collection of fragments, loosely bound with four rings–in the form of project & process descriptions, excursions into theory and artistic positions that inspired the work.
